The Accommodation
Trewyn Isaf was the first holiday house built
in Rhosneigr in the 1890's. It was built in the grounds of the cottage
Trewyn Bach. Both are now let for holiday rentals.
They sleep nine in five rooms and six people
in three rooms respectively and can be booked singly or possibly
together.
Right above the the main beach used for kitesurfing.on
the edge of the small holiday town of Rhosneigr in Angelsey, North
Wales, they are set in 4 acres of private grounds. Snowdonia is
about 20 minutes away to the south and they make an excellent base
for exploring the beautiful Isle of Anglesey in addition to all
forms of water sport in the locality.

Holiday House page.

Rhosneigr
Rhosneigr is a charming small seaside resort
village that became popular in the Edwardian era. It has a smattering
of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. It is a major centre for
water sports of all sorts especially wind surfing, Kitesurfing,
sailing and power boating. The centre of the village is about 5
minutes walk from the house either along the beach or the road. |

The Beaches
Trewyn is just yards from the
sandy beach, Traeth Crigyll , which is the main Kite surfing venue
in Rhosneigr. Traeth Crigyll is called after the little river Crigyll
which has its sandy estuary in front of the house. At low tide just
inches deep, the river channel fills up towards high tide to form
a natural swimming area in front of the house through which you
can cross to reach the breaking waves on the beach beyond. Beyond
the river the sandy beach stretches away into the distance with
no road access so increasingly remote. A second large beach, Broad
beach, stretches out on the far side of the village. (Good for fishing!)
On a high spring tide the wave break against the sea wall in front
of Trewyn Isaf and the spray crashes into the house!
